COVID 19: LETTER to St. Andrew’s congregants

To the community at St Andrew’s:

“Don’t be anxious about anything; rather, bring up all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks. Then the peace of God that exceeds all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6,7)

At a meeting called on Saturday, March 14, your council agreed to cancel worship and other events until April 5 for reasons we are all aware of.

However, ensuring spiritual support for you at this time is a priority. To that end, council members, with helpers, will try to contact all of our older congregation members by telephone so that everyone knows they are a valued, and dearly loved, member of our community. Should no-one have contacted you by the end of the week, please call one of the numbers listed at the end of this document.

Our pastor hopes to be able to use FaceBook and our web-page (www.standrewslatvian.org) to post texts from Scripture, reflections, and prayers. We also hope to be able to send out these materials by mail, at your request, to our oldest members who may not have access to the internet. Please let us know if you would like to receive these mailings by calling one of the numbers below.

Please also note: the church office is closed, however, your phone messages will be picked up on a regular basis. We will reply as soon as possible.
