SATURDAY, JUNE 23 – “JĀŅI” CELEBRATIONS IN SIDRABENE:
- Hosts – Andris Rubenis and Lilita Gretton
- Entry fee $25 for adults / $15 for youth up to 19 / children 12 and under – free
- Free parking / Free camping
- Horse buggy ride around Sidrabene from 4:00 – 7:00
- At 7:00 – “Jāņi” evening programme – by the open-air stage – featuring Sandra Maia Kuze solist and playing “kokle”, Helena Gintere musical director and pianist, special participants and musicians
- DJ led dancefloor from 9:00 – 1:00 am
- SID Kafē open all weekend, from 4:00 on Friday, June 22
- The pool is open
- Vendors and flower wreath making with Astrida Kalnins
- You will be treated to traditional “Jāņi” beer and cheese
- Sunday, June 24, 11:00 – worship in the open-air church together with the Hamilton congregation, led by pastor Davis Kaneps
