Many of us have heard about the tragic fire in East Toronto that took the lives of a young Mother’s 6 year old son Kai, mother Jana and friend Amanda. The young mother Arija is herself still in the hospital.
I cannot imagine how Arija feels losing the ones closest to her and her home. My family and I recently moved to Toronto. I see how the Toronto Latvian community and Latvians around the world have reacted, together as one large family responding to someone in need.
